SUMMARY:The Old Enemy: A historical guide to the Stop Lines of South East England- Richard Shenton
DESCRIPTION:Richard writes: “Basically taking in my interests in Battlefields and combining it with my professional knowledge as a Tourist Guide to give an outline\, but not exhaustive\, picture of what can be seen and visited today\, halting at either 1900 or WW1.  I do not propose to include the WW2 era as that has already been well covered and nor do I intend to take a leaf out of Pete Higgs’ book either but give an overall picture of how we prepared for invasion\nthrough the ages. \nAnd in the true aegis of SMHS there will be plenty of Sussex in it!!”
