SMHS has been interpreting the county’s military past since 1998. Now into its third decade, the society has nearly 100 members and meets on a monthly basis in Lewes.
SMHS organises monthly talks, site visits and field trips and offers members the opportunity to socialise with people with similar interests.
We meet on the third Wednesday of each month in the Yarrow Room (Ground floor) of Lewes Town Hall, High Street, Lewes, East Sussex BN7 2QS at 7:30pm for 8:00pm. Tea and coffee are available before the meeting and there is time before and after to meet new friends and talk ‘shop’.
